What to include in Software testing book for preparing testing interviews and Software testing fundamentals

I am in process of compiling a list of good books on software testing. Soon I will share this list with you. But lately I'm getting too many requests to share a book on software testing for preparing software testing interviews. So here's a quick post to share a book of essays that I found online "Manual Software Testing" by Nick Jenkins.

Basically, this book is an introduction to software testing. So those who are new to the field of software testing can begin their preparation by reading this book. You will receive basic idea of manual and automated testing.

Here is a summary of what this book is that it covers:

* What is the need for software testing?

* Different software development models

* Tests in the life cycle of software development

* How to develop the mentality of the tests?

* Regression vs. Retesting

* VS white box. Black box testing

* Verification and validation

* Alpha and beta testing

* The unit testing, integration and system

* Acceptance testing

* Test Automation - Getting Started

* Test design

* Usability testing

* Performance tests

* Test planning

* Estimate Test

* The test cases and test case elements

* Track Test, test planning and test plan review

* How to manage defects and reports of defects?

* Test parameters testers

In the book of all this is a good introduction to software testing. Author explained some of the key concepts of software, such as regression testing and the difference of a new test alpha and beta testing, etc., where many testers are confused.
